FAITH

Lord, give me faith -- to live from day to day,
With tranquil heart to do my simple part,
And, with my hand in thine, to go thy way.

Lord, give me faith -- to trust, if not to know;
With quiet mind in all things thee to find,
And, child-like, go where thou wouldst have me go.

Lord, give me faith -- to leave it all to thee,
The future is thy gift; I would not lift;
The veil thy love has hung between it and me.

"Get Rid of the Heavy Load"

"So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you."

~ I Peter 5:6 - 7 (NLT)

SISTAH DECLARATION:
I will place myself totally into God's hands and allow Him to be the Manager of my life!!

It is important to be humble and cast our cares upon the Lord. We shouldn't struggle to believe that God wants us to ly all of our concerns at the foot of the cross, when He so clearly told us in His Word to do exactly that.

It seems to be difficult for some of us to believe that Giod considers worry or care a sin. So we may actually have to become spiritually violent about casting our care upon the Lord and abiding in the secret place of the Most High, under the shadow of the Almighty.

Just as anger at satan can be a form of righteous violence, so can casting our care on the Lord. We can resist satan, worry and anxiety, and guilt and condemnation, until we get so fed up that we react with a holy anger. When he tries to force us to carry a burden of care, we can stop him in his tracks and say, "NO! I will not carry that care. I am casting it upon the Lord!" We fail God when we insist on shouldering our burdens instead of giving them to the Lord. Only God can deliver us, and He wants us to know that. In every situation, He wants us to first humble ourselves and then throw off the cares and worries the devil tries to lay on us.

Seven Minds...

Mind Your Tongue.
Don't let it speak hasty, cruel, unkind or wicked words.

Mind Your Eyes.
Don't permit them to look at degrading books, pictures or objects.

Mind Your Ears.
Don't let them listen to evil songs or words.

Mind Your Lips.
Don't let strong drink enter your mouth.

Mind Your Hands.
Don't let them do evil to others.

Mind Your Feet.
Don't let them follow in the footsteps of evil.

Mind Your Heart.
Don't let the love of sin dwell in it. Ask Jesus Christ to make it His throne.

If you are, or were ever, a church-going woman, then there is a high likelihood that you have experienced some form of male chauvinism or sexism in the church. Some churches are not nearly as sexist and chauvinistic as others, but many churches have some degree of it.
